Which Hat Do You Wear Bookmark

This is a printable "Which Hat Do You Wear Bookmark" to go along with the "Which Hat Do You Wear Sunday School Lesson".

Each lesson we offer at Church House Collection has a recipe, coloring page, maze, activity page, clipart and more stuff to go with it.

Which Hat Do You Wear Craft

Which Hat Do You Wear
Craft

  • Hat Template (printable version)
  • large and small craft sticks
  • hats printout
  • scissors
  • crayons
  • markers or colored pencils
  • glue

Print out the hats pictures and let the children color the hats.  Cut out the hats and glue them to large craft sticks. Draw faces below the hats.  If desired you can draw neckties or collars.   Use glue to connect three craft sticks onto two smaller craft sticks so they resemble the rails of a fence.  (See picture)

Use this craft with our “What Hat Do You Wear” lesson.

Game idea:  Have the children play hot potatoes, but use a hat instead.  The children stand in a circle and quickly pass around the hat. Whoever drops the hat or is holding it when the music stops is out.

Which Hat Do You Wear Cookies

Which Hat Do You Wear
Cookie Recipe
  • Gumdrops
  • Sugar Cookies
  • Frosting
Cover the tops of the sugar cookies (these can be store bought or homemade) with icing.   Use a dab of icing to stick a large gumdrop in the center.  If desired you can cut shapes from any extra gumdrops to make decorations for the hats.  If you are feeling ambitious, you can pipe some icing trim around the edges.

Alternate method:  Use chocolate icing and a cream filled chocolate drop for the center. Use this Recipe to go along with the Which Hat Do You Wear Lesson that we offer.

Just cut the pictures out and tape a toothpick to the back of the picture and stick down in a cupcake. If you want you could laminate these. His Eye Is On The Sparrow Craft

Matthew 6:26 -Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they? Matthew 6:27 -Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature?

  • 4 inch (10.16 cm) Toilet Paper Roll Tube
  • Scissors
  • Paper
  • Small Index Card
  • Crayons
  • Markers or Colored Pencils
  • Pony Bead
  • Glue Stick
  • Low Temperature Glue Gun
We used a bathroom tissue tube. Cut the top of the cardboard tube into a point to support the roof.  To do this, you place a rubber band 1 ½ inches from the top. Draw a line all the way around along the band. Flattened the top 1 ½ inches of the tube and measure to find the center on both the back and the front.  Cut the point from the center mark to the drawn line at the outer edge of the flatten section on the front.  (See picture)  Repeat this for the back.  (You will want to have this step already done for younger children.)
Measure a square of paper 4 inches (10.16 cm) by 7 inches (17.78 cm).  This allows for overlap.  Draw a circle in the center of this and color it black to look like an opening.  Draw flowers, butterflies, hearts, etc. on the remaining part of the paper.  Color the index card for the roof.  Use the glue stick to glue the paper on the cardboard tube so the circle is in line with one of the top points.  Trim the excess paper away between the cardboard points. Fold the index card in half so the short ends meet. Color it as desired.  Use a low temperature glue gun to attach the index card roof. (Caution: Younger children should not use any glue gun.)  Glue on something such as a pony bead for a perch.

    Really Rice Pictures

    Really Rice Pictures

    • White rice
    • Rubbing Alcohol
    • Cups
    • Food Coloring
    • Glue
    • Flat Toothpicks
    • Coloring Pages
    • Be On Fire For God Coloring Page (printable Version)

Fill a paper cup half way full of alcohol.  Add several drops of food coloring.  Add rice to a level that allows all the rice to be covered.  Give it a stir.  Let the rice set in the colored alcohol about half an hour.  Pour out into a shallow dish and let dry for a day.  Stir occasionally.  Do this for each separate color of rice you need for the picture.

Print out a coloring page that goes along with your lesson.  Choose pictures with lots of open space.  Beginning in the middle, add drops of glue to one section.  Gently use a flat toothpick to spread the glue to fill the space.  Carefully sprinkle some grains of colored rice in the space.  Brush away any excess rice.  Fill the space next to the first with glue and sprinkle on the next color of rice.  Working your way outward, continue filling in spaces and adding rice until the picture is complete.  Let your masterpiece dry completely before moving it.

This craft can be used with any lesson or just for fun. More crafts, lessons, coloring pages, clipart, puzzles and more at Church House Collection.

Parable of The Sower Lesson for Kids

This parable of the sower lesson is for the teacher to use a guide when teaching. This is a really simple way of getting the point across to the kids. Using a seed, a barbie, a Bible, toothpicks for thorns, a cotton ball colored brown, a green cotton ball with red dots with a toothpick stuck in it for a tree. This will be one easy lesson to get together for the kids.

Snack idea: Green grass cupcakes-Just a cupcake with green frosting that is piped on to look like grass.

Craft idea: Plant grass seed in cups.

    Bible Playdough

We play Bible Playdough in class and this was some of the things the kids did. One is an alligator looking at a bird for God making the animals. Then there is a Green devil and Red devil. The bottom one is Samson. These are just a few of the Bible playdough ideas that the kids came up with. More fun ideas for Church at Church House Collection.

Kids Wall Murals - Wall Paintings

Yes I like to draw and paint if you haven't noticed. My child wanted Tom and Jerry holding guns cause he is into the whole hunting and guns thing. I drew this a long time ago on the wall and just painted it. The two are standing by a tree.

I have always enjoyed coloring up my walls for some reason. It's a lot of work but the kids sure like it.

This picture is a painting I did in the kids play room of Peter Pan, Wendy, John and Micheal.
This picture is of a painting of Peter Pan Lost boys in a boat dressed up in funny outfits. They are making funny faces to Captain Hook almost getting ate by the alligator.

Here is a painting of Captain Hook almost getting ate by Mr. Alligator. Did I mention these drawings took me FOREVER.....lol  Taking many breaks are very important. haha I took plenty of them. You wouldn't believe the little hand cramps I got in my poor little fingers. Poor digits.. sniff sniff

Oh look it's Tinkerbell! One more painting that was added to the play room. Exhustaion has kicked in beyond you can even imagine with all the painting! But it was worth it. Do the kids appreciate mommy's hard work. Perhaps some day...sigh....

O There is that mean ol kitty cat chasing that mouse into the mouse hole again.

There goes the other little mouse running just as fast as he can from the kitty cat.

    David and Goliath Coloring Page

    David and Goliath Coloring Page

Let the kids color this coloring page during class time when studying on the story of David and Goliath from the Bible. Use this coloring page to go with our David and Goliath Sunday School Lesson. Let the kids eat a snack during class like our stone cookies that we show you how to make or you can just bake cupcakes and stick our printable David and Goliath Cupcake Template down in the cupcakes. You might want the kids to make a craft so grab a bunch of brown lunch bags and print our template out to make the David and Goliath Paper Lunch Bag to take home with them.

We have a printable lesson for you to print out that you can either read to the class or you can print a copy for each child and hand them out. The kids will be skilled on this lesson by the time you get done with them using these techniques. You could also try printing out the David and Goliath Activity Sheet. Just have them cut the pieces out and glue to construction paper and finish coloring it and gluing the pieces to the landscape.

Adam and Eve Toilet Paper Roll Craft

    Adam Toilet Paper Roll

Just print one of the templates out. If you pick the black and white it will need to be colored. Just cut the pieces out. Wrap the square leaves with the words "Adam" at the bottom around the toilet paper tube. Tape or glue the back. I prefer to use tape because it holds better. Now add your head to the top of the roll. Next tape or glue the arms on and then tape or glue the apple to one of Adam's hands.

Fun for Sunday school, children's church or homeschooling. More crafts, lessons, clipart, recipes, puzzles, coloring pages at Church House Collection.
