Easter Egg Cupcakes

 Easter Egg Cupcakes
"Jesus Is Alive"
Baked Cupcakes
White Frosting
Colored Sprinkles
Sticker Eyes
Colored Feathers- 1 Per Egg
Toothpicks- 3 Per Egg
Removable Label Pad (75 Ct 1" X 3") - 1 Per Egg
Black Pen
Colored Plastic Eggs

Bake your cupcakes. I made chocolate ones in this picture. Ice your cupcakes with white frosting. Add colored Sprinkles to the top. Next your going to take your toothpicks and give the egg two legs to stand on. These plastic eggs had 2 holes in the top and in the bottom. I just poked the toothpicks in both holes in the bottom. Then I gave it some sticker eyes and then I poked the legs down in the cupcake. This will allow the egg to stand up without falling over. Then add a colored feather in one hole at the top. Next make your "Jesus Is Alive" sign. Just take one of the sticker label pads and fold it in half over toothpick. Then write the words, "Jesus is Alive" on the front. Then stick the toothpick in the hole in the top of the egg. You could always write something else on the sign. Take these for Sunday school or Children's Church. Kids will get a kick out of these.

Sticker Eyes
Bake your mini cupcakes. Once they cool stick the entire cupcake, wrapper and all down in the egg. Add some sticker eyes to the egg. Add some white frosting to your cupcake and use colored sprinkles on top.
You could always stick a little sign coming out of the eggs or you could add some stick arms coming out using chocolate covered pretzels or something else. These eggs will actually close shut with the cupcake in them. So if you wanted to close the egg and hand them out to the kids they would get a cute little treat inside.

Okay here is an Easter Egg Pigtail Cupcake

Just use feathers in both holes for hair and add some yarn around the feather for a bow. I didn't have the bow on in this picture. You could try sticking other things down in the holes for hair. Use toothpicks and stick a gumdrop for a bun hair do. Or try using two small snipped off pieces of pipe cleaner and twirl it around your finger to make it curly and then stick down in the hole.

Easter Tomb Jesus Is Alive Cutout Craft

Just print either one of these Easter tomb templates out. If you pick the black and white one then have the kids use crayons or markers to color it in. Then have them cut the tomb and sign out. You might need to help them with cutting around the stone door for it to open and close. Glue all this down on colored construction paper.

Paper Book Craft

Paper Book Craft

1.      Fold a full sheet of paper in half the long way.
2.      Fold the paper in half the short way.
3.      Fold the two short ends so they meet in the middle.
4.      You now have eight rectangles.
5.      With the short sides together, cut through both layers of the fold in the middle so that the cut is along the fold through the middle sections only.  (See picture)
6.      Pull the sections with the cut out to the side.  (See picture)
7.      Fold the pages against each other to finish the book.  (See picture.)
8.      Now you are ready to use the book for any lesson.  Write Bible verses, draw pictures or paste cutouts onto the pages.  Use this idea again and again!
9.      Branch out and use colored or printed paper for more fun.

When they want to take it off just have them cut the tape. If you wanted to keep the bracelet then you could always laminate it so your child could re wear it if they wanted.

Tape the square with the scripture below the sheep head. More towards the bottom. Take your clothes pins and clip them on each side of the bag for arms. Tape two cotton balls on each clothes pin.

Daylight Savings Time Snacks

Daylight Savings Time Snack

"Save Time For Jesus"
Ecclesiastes 3:1  To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:
  • "Save Time For Jesus" Template- printable version
  • Honey Nut Cheerios Cereal (Or something else)
  • Ziplock Bags 6 1/2  X 5 7/8

Print the template out and cut it out. The templates makes 2 sandwich bag snacks. Fold the template over a snack filled bag of cereal or something else and staple on each end. Use this snack to go with our Daylight Savings Time Lesson plan that matches it.
Fill the snack bag with anything round that might resemble a clock. You could make clock cookies if you wanted. Just ice a cookie and pipe on the hands of the clock with dots for the numbers. Or if you wanted you could pipe the numbers on. Not sure if you want to go through all that trouble to ice those numbers on but if you do, that is always a neat option. You could also fill the bag with round ritz crackers and pepperoni's. Or just fill the bag with honey nut cheerios like I did.
