Bible Writing Prompt Ideas For Kids
With Printable Sheets
If you went back in time and
met Jesus what would you do?
Have the children write about what they would do if they had the chance to met Jesus back when he walked the earth. What would they talk about? What would they do? Have them really think about it and give their honest opinion.
What do see yourself doing when you grow up?
How would Jesus be a part of your walk in life?
Have them discuss what they see themselves doing in the near future when they grow up. What kind of job do they see themselves doing? Where would they work or would they work for themselves? Would Jesus be a part of their life at all when they grow up? Would they help save souls? Would they teach Sunday school? Would they do anything at all? Would they choose to be a witness to outsiders? Would they involve Jesus in their job? Their is no right or wrong answer. This is just see what their outlook on life is and to see what they want to be when they grow up. Even if they do small things, it's okay. Jesus loves them and wants them to accept him. We are not all called to do the same things. It's okay if the child wants to be a doctor when they grow up. Because they can still do something for Jesus even if they are a doctor. They can tell people about Jesus. They can pray for their patients. It's the small things that make Jesus happy. They don't have to be preaching on tv to think they have accomplished something for God. We must keep ourselves undefiled before God and visit the fatherless and the widows and keep ourselves unspotted from the world. James 1:27 Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.Sometimes as church leaders we can become so caught up in a making sure that we go to every single church meeting and function to the point that it can make us bitter. If we are more concerned about others opinions of us, than what God thinks about us, then we have a problem... When we die we will answer to God Almighty, not man.
Salvation is the works of God, Jesus said. Jesus himself was not inside the walls of the church....he was outside the church walls.....Working the works of God...Which was for others to accept him as the Messiah. We must evaluate our lives and schedules and make sure that what we are doing is good in the sight of the Lord and not in the sight of what others think. When we get more concerned about the opinion of God instead of MAN you might find that Jesus is not that hard on us as we might think. He doesn't expect you to do it all. You can't do it all. You are only one person. He expects you to accept him into your life and live your life according to his will. When we find our purpose and his will for our lives we will be much happier.
Sometimes we are the ones that create the stress in our own mind. Think about this: Would you want your child sad all the time, unhappy, and bitter? Of course not. No one wants to see their child sad all the time. You want to see them happy and enjoy life. Do you really think Jesus wants us sad all the time and not enjoying life? I really do not think that is what God wants. Maybe you don't have kids and you have a dog...Think about this...Would you want your puppy sick all the time or sad all the time? What if the dog never felt happy or felt like doing anything fun. It would make you sad that it didn't feel good. You would want your dog to be happy and full of life. God wants the same for us. He wants us to be happy and enjoy life. We make the message of salvation difficult on ourselves. Jesus came and died and paid the price for us. We really need to stop persecuting ourselves to do everything to the point that we are miserable and hate life. That is not a good testimony to others or God. Lighten up a little..Jesus wants you happy not miserable all the time. Who said that you have to be sad all the time? You can laugh once in a while and enjoy life. Otherwise what is the point in this life. Why did he create man? For fellowship....He wanted a friend. Be his friend and tell others about him. That is what you can do..Stop beating yourself up. Jesus paid the price already. You don't have to pay the price he already paid. That would not make any sense. If we could have done it all ourselves, then we wouldn't have needed Jesus to do it for us.
Sometimes we need to get the religious acts out of the way and seek what the real purpose to our lives are. We are not under man's rules, but God's. What does God want from you? I know what he wants from me and that actually makes me smile. Thank you Jesus for calling me to love you and to show others who you are. Thank you for your mercy on our lives. Thank you for dying for me and for loving me. And most of all....for being my best friend in the whole wide world...!!!
