  • Small jar
  • Used fabric softener sheets
  • Aluminum pie pan
  • Scissors
  • Bamboo skewers
So, you have finished your keepsake jar and salt pictures.  Now, what to do with the left over salt? Try adding putting some of the salt in a small jar and adding hot water.  Wait a few days to see what crystals form.

A lot of people are fascinated with crystals, many believing them to possess power that can be used for healing and spiritual growth.  Is it okay to be actively involved with crystal healing and crystal power? What advice does the Bible give in this matter?  Crystals certainly are beautiful objects, for they were created by God. Part of God's magnificent heavenly city, the New Jerusalem, will be constructed from crystal. But, like all so called magic, the ability of crystals to heal is false.  Satan wants us to believe in false miracles. All true miracles come from God.

Revelation 22:1 And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.

After removing the crystals, a second thing to do with the salts is to pour out the remaining salt water onto a used fabric softener sheet that has been placed in an aluminum pie pan.  Let it dry for a few days.  Tiny crystals will form on the surface.  Cut the softener sheet in various shapes and string it onto a bamboo skewer.  Use it as a plant stake to make an artificial plant give off a wonderful smell like a real plant.
