Just print the template out and have the children cut all 9 squares out. Put them in order and staple the little booklet on the sides for them. Now they have a take home booklet on the 9th commandment. This craft goes with our lesson plan "Thou Shalt Not Lie Sunday School Lesson".

For Ten Commandments

Exodus 20:16  Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour.

Supplies:

Colored Construction Paper or White Paper
Crayons
Tape or Stick Glue
Scissors
Thou Shalt Not Lie Template Cut Out- printable version

Print the Thou Shalt Not Lie cut out sheet out. Have the child color the sign red. Cut it out and glue or tape down on a colored piece of construction paper or white paper. Have them put the picture and words right in the middle of the paper. Have them fold the paper on each side on top of the picture.
On the front of the construction paper have the child draw a door in the middle where the paper opens and write the words, "Open the door to see the 9th commandment". Have them draw an arrow from the words pointing to the door. This craft goes with our matching lesson plan we offer, "Thou Shalt Not Lie Sunday School Lesson."

Supplies:
Paper Plate
Black Crayon or Marker
Red Crayon

This is an easy craft for smaller children to do for the 9th commandment of the Ten Commandments. "Thou Shalt Not Lie" or "Thou Shalt Not Bear False Witness Against Thy Neighbor". Have the kids color a black line all around the rim of the paper plate. Then have them draw a black circle in the middle. Have them draw a line through middle going sideways and write the words, "LIES" in the middle of the paper plate. Have them color some of the paper plate red like the picture shows. Write the words, "Exodus 20:16 on the paper plate in the middle in small letters.  This craft goes with our matching lesson plan, "Thou Shalt Not Lie Sunday School Lesson".

This is one of our wood slices that we sell through our store at "Church House Woodworks Etsy Store".

I broke all of the ten commandments down for the kids each week and this is just a craft idea for the kids to have fun with. Let them draw on a wood slice to make this. This particular craft goes along with our lesson that we offer, "Thou Shalt Not Lie Sunday School Lesson". 

Have the kids color the wood slice red all around the very edge then have them use a black marker to draw a circle on the wood slice . Just follow the grain of the wood and it will make a perfect circle. Have them draw a line through the middle going sideways and write the words LIES in the middle. You might need to help the kids do this or just let them have fun with it and if they mess up, then no big deal... This wood slice will fit in the palm of my hand. You could buy the bigger wood slices we offer and let them turn this into a drink coaster for home.

• Construction Paper or Plain White Paper

• Crayons or Markers

Have the child color the picture and then have them cut the thief with the money bag out along with the coins and scripture. Let them tape or glue this down on plain white paper like cardstock or you can use colored construction paper. 

Have them draw a picture surrounding the thief like the picture shows above. Have them draw some clouds and a ground. 

Optional: You could have them cut out clouds from blue paper and grass from green paper and glue down on the construction paper to make it look really neat.

Pick which template you need below and print it off. Have the children color the picture and then cut it out. Have them tape the picture onto a toilet paper roll tube. I buy my toilet paper roll tubes (cardboard roll tubes or craft rolls) from Oriental Trading. You get 24 pieces for $5.25. 

Wrap the square piece of paper that has the scripture on it around the toilet paper roll and tape in the back. Tape the thief to the front of the craft roll. Then have the child add the scripture they cut out right over the words on the square and tape down.

 Exodus 20:8  Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.

The kids are still learning their Ten Commandments and we are on the 4th commandment now. So I let the kids make a craft for the 4th commandment. "Remember the sabbath day and keep it holy. Exodus 20:8"  They built a church house out of popsicle sticks on construction paper and glued them on. They glued the words down in the middle of the house. 

We handed out church house snacks to them that

 were built out of Vanilla Sugar Wafers.

Supplies:

• Large Popsicle Stick
• Crayons and Markers
• Colored Construction Paper
• White Paper
• Sticker Eyes
• Tape or Glue
• Scissors 
• Decorative Cutting scissors (Optional)

I took a piece of dark blue construction paper and taped a large popsicle stick to the paper to make the man's body. I drew the head at the top of the popsicle stick,and added hair, eyes, arms and legs. I also added some sticker eyes. I cut out a speech bubble and taped that next to the man and wrote, "!#?X!" in the speech bubble to represent words that were not nice. I cut out a small square of white paper using the decorative scissors and wrote the scripture Exodus 20:7 on it and taped it on the paper.

To make this craft just pick which template you need and print it off. We have black and white and colored. Let the kids color the cow head gold. Have the kids cut the calf head out along with the words and tape them to a white lunch bag. Use this fun craft when teaching on the Ten Commandments. This is for the second commandment "Thou Shalt Not Make For Yourself A Graven Image".

Just print the template out and cut the calf head out along with the two small pieces of paper with words on it. Then have the child color the bottom of the paper plate in yellow. Have them fold the paper plate in half and put two clothes pins at the bottom for his feet. Tape the calf head to the right side of the paper plate. Then tape the words on the front of cow body. This craft is suppose to be a golden cow. It will stand up on it's own. This is a very easy and simple craft for kids to do. The template comes in black and white or colored.

Print the Ten Commandments Moses template out. Cut the pieces out. Wrap the square outfit around the toilet paper roll and tape in the back. Tape or glue head to the top and tape or glue arms that are holding the ten commandments to the sides. Bend the arms a little. The words, "Ten Commandments" are written on the bottom. The tablets have all of the 10 commandments written on them.
