 Proverbs 18:21 Paper Plate Craft

Proverbs 18:21-  Death and life are in the power of the tongue: 

and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof. 

You could do a paper plate craft for Proverbs 18:21 by letting the kids draw a face on the front of it and coloring some hair at the top of the paper plate. Have the kids cut a slit in the paper plate to slide a tongue through made from red felt.  

Have them cut slits in the top of the paper plate and curl them a little bit to make it look more like hair. Write the scripture on the face like you see in the picture. Add some goggle eyes and your done!

Sunday School or Children's Church 

Matthew 12:34  O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.


Supplies:
Pink Construction Paper
Bag of Peace Love Glitter Stickers -(Where to Buy? from walmart or online at creativehands.com)
4 Large Popsicle Sticks
White Paper
Pen
Tape
Scissors

I cut a heart shape out of the pink construction paper. Then I taped on the large popsicle sticks to the paper heart for it's arms and legs.

I bought a bag of Glitter Stickers"Peace & Love" from Walmart. Their website is at www.creativehands.com. You won't be able to buy from them online buy you can search the stores of where they sell them. You might even try amazon . You don't have to use these particular glitter stickers. You can use something else or even make your own using paper and glitter. 

I added some glitter sticker hearts at the ends of the arms and legs. Then for the eyes I used a blue glitter flower and added a pink heart right on top of that and then topped it off with plastic Google eyes. I used tape to stick the eyes on.  For the mouth I used a flower and just punched the middle out.

I took some white paper and cut a speech bubble out and I used a pen to write, "...out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh Matt 12:34". I taped the speech bubble to the mouth.

 3rd Commandment Craft

Thou Shalt Not Take The Name Of The 

Lord Thy God In Vain. Exodus 20:7

Supplies:

• Large Popsicle Stick
• Crayons and Markers
• Colored Construction Paper
• White Paper
• Sticker Eyes
• Tape or Glue
• Scissors 
• Decorative Cutting scissors (Optional)

I took a piece of dark blue construction paper and taped a large popsicle stick to the paper to make the man's body. I drew the head at the top of the popsicle stick,and added hair, eyes, arms and legs. I also added some sticker eyes. I cut out a speech bubble and taped that next to the man and wrote, "!#?X!" in the speech bubble to represent words that were not nice. I cut out a small square of white paper using the decorative scissors and wrote the scripture Exodus 20:7 on it and taped it on the paper.

Exodus 20:7-Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain. 

 Grab a paper plate.

 Take a black sharpie marker and draw a speech bubble onto it.

 You will need a large popicle stick.

 Tape the popsicle stick to the back.

 Write the scripture from Exodus 20:7 on the front

 like you see in this picture.

I filled a small ziplock bag with Seasame Street Cereal. It has X's and O's and it was the only thing I could find that had letters to represent words. I taped that to the back.

 I made a lot of these as you can see!

I put them all in a cake pan so I could take them to church.

Valentine's Day Heart Card Craft

"Jesus Lives In My Heart"

Supplies:

• Heart Template- printable version
• Crayons or Markers
• 1 Large Red Construction Paper
• 1 Large Pink Construction Paper
• Black Pen
• Decorative Cutting Scissors
• Regular Scissors
• Tape or Glue

Heart Template- printable version

Print the heart template out and have the kids color the picture. Then have them cut it out. Take your red construction paper and fold in half to make your card. Then tape or glue the heart man on to the front of the card. 

 Now open the inside of the card and use your decorative cutting scissors to cut out two small squares out of the pink construction paper to tape or glue to the inside of the card on both sides.

 Have the child use the black pen and write this scripture "Romans 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." on the left of the card on the pink construction paper. 

Cut two small hearts out of the pink construction paper and glue or tape that on each side of the card like you see in the pictures. Write the word "JESUS" on both hearts.

On the right side of the card have the child draw a picture of themselves and have them write the words, "I'm Saved By The Blood Of Jesus". Have them draw some grass on the picture.
