Easter Sheep Doorknob Hanger Craft

Easter Sheep
Doorknob Hanger Craft

John 10:11 - I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.
Sheep Doorknob Hanger - printable version

Just print this Easter sheep doorknob hanger out on card stock. Have the child cut it out and hang on their doorknob at home. Use this for an Easter time craft and teach your child about how Jesus gave his life for the sheep and died on a cross. He rose again on the third day.

Easter Sheep Lunch Bag Craft- John 10:11

Easter Sheep Lunch Bag Craft

John 10:11- I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.
1 White Lunch Bag (or brown)
Scissors
Sheep Head and Scripture Template- printable version
2 Clothes pins
4 Cotton Balls
Tape

Print the sheep head template out. Cut the head and square words out. Take a white or brown lunch bag and tape the sheep head at the top of the lunch bag. Tape the square with the scripture below the sheep head. More towards the bottom. Take your clothes pins and clip them on each side of the bag for arms. Tape two cotton balls on each clothes pin.

You could always add a sheep tail in the back by adding another clothes pin to the back and just pinching the white bag together and cliping it on there. You could fill with newspaper if you wanted the bag to puff out more or even fill with treats for the kids. Or just leave it like it is.

Do this sheep craft for Easter and teach the kids how Jesus is the good shepherd and gave his life for the sheep. And on the third day he rose again.

Easter Sheep

Easter Sheep
John 10:11-  I am the good shepherd:
the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.

  • 1 Pkg of VERY Large Marshmallows (for body)
  • 1 Pkg. of Small Marshmallows (for feet)
  • White Confetti Sprinkles (for eyes)
  • 1 Egg Carton of Chocolate Marshmallow Eggs
  • Toothpicks (break 1 in half to make 2 legs)
  • Frosting (for glue)

Take all the chocolate marshmallow eggs out of the egg carton. Lay a large marshmallow down in each egg hole. Dab some frosting to the bottom of chocolate marshmallow egg and stick on top of large marshmallow body. Take 1 toothpick and break in half. Now stick a small marshmallow on the end of the toothpick. Stick in marshmallow body. Dot some frosting on the back of some white confetti eyes and stick to head. You can also use white frosting and just pipe eyes on if you want. I just found this easier to do.
The only time they have these marshmallow chocolate eggs is at Easter time. If you wanted you could still make these and use something else for a head such as a peppermint patty, miniature snickers candy bars, an Oreo or anything else the might resemble a sheep head.

Teach the kids that Jesus is the shepherd and we are the sheep. The scripture says that he gave his life for the sheep. He died for our sins and rose on the third day. He gave up his life so we could have life. This is why we celebrate Easter. Have fun with this easy, quick craft. We have an Easter Sheep Coloring Page that goes with this.
